An editorial and stylish New York engagement session at Washington Square Park, Greenwich Village, and the best bar in NYC that serves the absolute best pizza. We began D+C engagement session in Washington Square Park, a park nestled right in the heart of New York City’s Greenwich Village. This park is the perfect balance between having that sophistication that they craved in their engagement session, but still very urban and romantic. So! We began among the iconic arch and lushes greenery of the park, a beautiful backdrop to capture their timeless love and laughter.

After strolling through Washington Square Park, we decided to continue exploring the beautiful and bustling streets of Greenwich Village. OH, is it stunning! Every corner has such a personality. We wandered past the historic brownstones, the lively restaurants, and the iconic corner filled with greenery from top to bottom, all which make the neighborhood and its charm. The NYU campus added a contemporary flare to the urban neighborhood. Their sweet and playful love really shined in these streets. It was a perfect mix of editorial and classy, with so many laughs, kisses, and playfulness.

Stylish New York Bar & Pizza Stop!

Once we got closer to evening, and after a quick outfit change. We found ourselves in the inviting ambiance of Grand Street Pizza. A true hidden gem known for serving some of the best pizza in the city, along with some of the best cocktails. The dim lighting gave us the perfect excuse to bring out some flash, and well, who doesn’t love some flash editorial pictures! Especially in New York City, in a bar, that serves some of the best pizza in town! To add the cherry on top, their dirty martinis and beers were the best prop for the photographs. We laughed, shared stories and pizza, and had the best time documenting D+C in their ideal date night.

Documenting D+C was so fun! They knew they wanted a mix of everything. The editorial, stylish New York engagement session, yet documentary style. It was a true honor bringing their vision to life. From the sophisticated backdrop of the Washington Square Park arch, to the playfulness around Greenwich Village, and the laughs of eating pizza at Grand Street Pizza. Each frame portraying them beautifully in their home of New York City.

All to sum up and say, if you’re seeking editorial and an authentic charm, Greenwich Village is your perfect backdrop. And nothing screams more “we met in New York” than stopping at a local pizza bar for some photographs there.
